How many pictures and video can each camera take?

Without a memory card, our cameras can take approx 20 pictures and shoot 2 mins of video thereabouts. With a 1GB memory card (which is HIGHLY recommended) our cameras can each take over 750 pictures and over 40 mins of video.

Why not just use disposables?

The disposable camera concept is a great one but we felt it needed evolving. By embracing new technology we could do this and do it successfully. There are many disadvantages in using a standard disposable camera service such as you have to print every picture regardless of what it looks like. The quality is not near as good. You can’t share and print your pictures online. You can’t zoom, take video, the list is endless…

What cameras are they?

We have C653 and C743 digital Kodak cameras. Kodak are obviously one of the leading brands for professional and home user photographic equipment throughout the world and we wanted to go with the best!

How does the shipping work?

We will post out your cameras in a sealed flight case so they arrive a day or two before your event.

After your event you would then need to return the cameras as they arrived i.e in the flightcase, fully addressed and wrapped etc. We recommend posting them back using 'Special Delivery' with Royal Mail. It would be cheaper than a courier and as long as it is guaranteed it would be as equally reliable. It will be your responsibility to make sure the cameras reach us safely.

If you are off on a honeymoon straight after your wedding then you will need to arrange return shipping with a trusted friend or family member.

What happens if any of the cameras are damaged?

We understand that accidents happen and because of this you will be given the opportunity to insure your cameras for just £3.50 each. This will cover all accidental damage but not theft. If a camera is returned, hasn’t been insured and is unusable then we will charge £50 per camera. We will not charge for any minor cosmetic damage such as scrapes and scratches.

What happens if any of the cameras are stolen or lost?

Everyone’s main concern regarding digital camera hire is the risk of cameras being lost or stolen, although it shouldn’t be. We have an outstanding 97% success rate in getting the cameras back to us unharmed. The main trick to reduce the risk of cameras going missing is to make your guests aware of what the cameras are there for. There are a few ways you can do this:

- We will provide instruction table cards that notify the guests that the cameras are the responsibility of the hosts of the the event, so in the case of weddings the Bride & Groom would be responsible. It would be highly unlikely that friends and family would steal from the happy couple.

- Some couples get their Best Man to announce at the beginning of the speeches what the cameras are there for and for everyone snap away and return them to the tables at the end of the night. You would then get someone to collect them.

- You could nominate someone to look after the cameras, maybe one from each table.

- You could hand out the cameras to trusted friends and family only, if you’re really worried.

In the unlikely event that a camera will go missing you will usually be able to narrow it down to which table has it through the process of elimination when looking at the photos.

How much does it cost to hire out each camera?

Each camera costs £9.95 to hire.

Do I have to reserve the cameras first?

We recommend you reserve the cameras by paying a fully refundable £50 deposit. This deposit will reserve ten cameras for any date. The outstanding balance is then required 60 days before the event. If you change your minds you will receive a full refund as long as it is more than 30 days until your event.

How will my friends and family know where to look online?

After the event we will send you a password and instructions on how to access the online photo gallery and video gallery. You can freely give this information to whoever you like.

We also offer a free email notification service where we would email your guests the info. This would be a one-off email and any guest details would be deleted after the initial email was sent. We do send out spam email and would not save any guest email addresses in any form of database.

Alternatively a few couples have sent the information out with their thank you cards.

When will the pictures be on your website?

We will endevour to have your pics and video online within a week.

What about prints?

You will be able to order prints and canvas prints from any picture you like. Simply access the drop down menu next to the picture in the gallery for a variety of printing options.

What about video?

All cameras come video and audio enabled. After the event we will upload all of your videos onto our own online TV channel. Check out www.videoson9.tv to see for yourself.

What is the archive CD option?

After the event you will receive a FREE CD with all your pictures and videos on it. Unlike many Professional Photographers we don't hold your pictures ransom. All these pictures will be the original hi-res pics which you'll be able to print yourself if you like.

What about the slideshow DVD?

We can put all of your pics and videos into a customised and menued DVD for you and everyone to watch. Why not send all of your guests a DVD as a fantastic thank you present!

We had a Professional Photographer at our wedding. Can we give you his pictures for upload onto your site?

Yes you can but only with explicit permission of the Photographer himself.

Is my gallery private?

Yes! Each gallery gets an access code so hand this code out to whoever you want to view the gallery.
